About Us

The Taste of Texas opened her doors in 1998 and is since the opening one of the busiest restaurants in Cala d’Or. A true steakhouse with three meter high indians at the entrance, wooden tables and a well designed interior and exterior. The kitchen has special Josper ovens – they run on charcoal – to serve the best quality and authentic taste which should be expected in a true steakhouse.

Our Story

Since the opening in 1998 the Taste of Texas got more and more popular every year. The big picture has all the ingredients to stay one of the best restaurants in the future as well.

During the years the Taste of Texas kept on developing on all fronts. The kitchen, the service the interior as well as the exterior. Every little thing had extra attention during the years that actually flew by.

Nowadays the kitchen uses special so called Josper ovens and dry-aged meat. Josper ovens run on charcoal and reach because of that extreme high temperatures. Besides, the charcoal adds the authentic bbq taste which is typical for a modern steakhouse.
Add the usage of dry-aged meat – long time dried beef to contain the original flavour of the meat – and enjoy the best steaks in town!

Besides stakes the restaurant has a wide variety of other dishes, like fish, fajitas, burritos, chicken, salads and of course vegetarian. Not to forget the childrens menu with typical dutch snacks as well as burgers and pizzas.

The menu is given in six different languages and the international personnal can help you in lots of different languages as well. The long time experience in the service and the kitchen are additional to the perfect way of serving.

All together it perfectly fits the slogan we like to use in the Taste of Texas: ‘Easy to enjoy, hard to forget’.
